Connect Supabase to Infograph
What it brings in: Every table and view the user can read.
What you need
- A Supabase project.
- Its database password. If you do not have it, you can reset it in Database Settings.
Your connection string
Each part is one thing you fill in, and each can fail on its own.
postgresql://postgres.[YOUR-PROJECT-REF]user: fix for "The username or password was not accepted.":[YOUR-PASSWORD]password: fix for "The username or password was not accepted."@aws-0-[REGION].pooler.supabase.comhost: fix for "We couldn't find that host. Check the host name, then try again.":5432port: fix for "The host refused the connection. Check the port, and that your database accepts connections from Infograph's address."/postgresdatabase: fix for "That database does not exist on this server."Steps
Open Connect in your Supabase dashboard
Open your project and click Connect at the top of the page.
Choose the Session pooler
The direct connection needs IPv6, which Infograph does not use. The Session pooler works over IPv4 on every plan.
Copy the string and add your password
Copy the Session pooler string and replace [YOUR-PASSWORD] with your database password. It looks like this.
postgresql://postgres.[YOUR-PROJECT-REF]:[YOUR-PASSWORD]@aws-0-[REGION].pooler.supabase.com:5432/postgresPaste it in Infograph and choose your tables
Open Supabase in Infograph, paste the string and press Connect. Pick the tables you want and Infograph starts loading them.
Allow 51.222.152.247 through your firewall so Infograph can connect.

Troubleshooting
Each entry is the message Infograph shows when a connection fails. Open it for the fix.
This host is not reachable from Infograph. Use your database's public address.
Copy the Session pooler string from Connect again. Its host ends in pooler.supabase.com.
We couldn't find that host. Check the host name, then try again.
Copy the host from the Connect dialog rather than typing it. The pooler host depends on your project's region.
The host refused the connection. Check the port, and that your database accepts connections from Infograph's address.
If you turned on Network Restrictions in Database Settings, allow 51.222.152.247.
The server closed the connection. Check that it allows Infograph's address, and whether it requires an encrypted connection.
The server answered, then hung up before Infograph could sign in. Check it allows 51.222.152.247: some hosts close the connection rather than refuse it. If the server accepts only encrypted connections, set SSL Mode to Require under Advanced.
The host did not answer in time. Check the host and port, and that your firewall allows Infograph's address.
If the host starts with db. and ends in .supabase.co, that is the direct connection, which needs IPv6. Copy the Session pooler string from Connect instead. If you turned on Network Restrictions, allow 51.222.152.247.
The username or password was not accepted.
Check you replaced [YOUR-PASSWORD], brackets included. If you are not sure of the password, reset it in Database Settings and paste the string again. Characters such as @, # or / must be percent-encoded, so @ becomes %40. Through the pooler, the user is postgres followed by a dot and your project ref.
Those credentials were not accepted.
Check you replaced [YOUR-PASSWORD], brackets included. If you are not sure of the password, reset it in Database Settings and paste the string again.
That database does not exist on this server.
A Supabase project's database is called postgres. Check the string ends in /postgres.
